Virgin Holidays Lounge
Bringing a new level of creativity to the airport lounge experience, Hawaii was asked to make interiors for Virgin’s unique lounges at two key UK airports. We responded to the brief of making a space that would appeal to all the family and – above all, make customer smile – by creating a series of engaging installations.
As well as being fun, the interiors had to be functional and durable, using materials and processes that would stand the test of time and cope with the heavy daily footfall.

Cascading plane wall
Inspired by paper aeroplanes, our injection-moulded map of the world angles and weaves across a central wall space, playing with the natural light to cast beautiful shadows as day moves to night.
Spinning wall
A tactile rotating wall designed and constructed for the games room at Gatwick. Created using over 1500 table football players.
Sound reactive panels
A series of LED panels, programmed to create expressive face icons that react to sound.
Bespoke wallpaper
A typographic repeat print, taking a light-hearted look at family life.
Corian bar
A tactile bar surround, routed from a single sheet of Corian.
Breakfast bar Illustration
Screen-printed illustrations applied directly to blackboards surrounding the breakfast bar.
Three dimensional installations
We love to work with all kinds of materials, creating designs that engage and play with space. From back-lit, three-dimensional Perspex signage to bespoke installations made from wooden ply.
