Hawaii was established in London in 2005 by Paul McAnelly and Andrew Jenkinson – a pair of creative professionals with diverse backgrounds and interests who joined forces to offer a complete design and communication service that is defined not by a style but an approach. Paul Mcanelly has over 20 years’ experience and heads up Hawaii Design. The creative diversity within the company stems from McAnelly’s own varied past.
He began his career in 1993 working as an independent illustrator working with an array of high profile advertising agencies. McAnelly was intrigued by advertising, marketing and branding and it was through his early years in the industry that he developed new skills, and migrated to design.
In 2003 he was approached by Liberty to head up the design department of the iconic London store working closely with all key departments.
Andrew Jenkinson has wide-ranging experience collaborating with brands at the forefront of innovation. He has worked on creative and product development life cycles from early concept stage through to delivery and distribution.
He has more than 15 years’ expertise in innovative design, advertising and technology. Andrew has led and overseen innovation development and direction across a variety of media and lifestyle brands. He aims to push the creative boundaries of traditional content platforms and establish exceptional creative standards, including new media opportunities, applications, social experiences and emerging technologies.
